Why?
Amazon Prime likes to recommend movies when you log on so this was one of the recommendations. My family is a sucker for Christmas romance movies so we decided to watch it.
What in the world?
A catering company is trying to stay afloat during the holiday and are hired to cater a gala for 25 people. Romance ensues with the caterer and the gala host's nephew.
Personal thoughts
This movie was pretty cliché. I mean the gala was super lame. I mean for a very famous foundation that has done much for the community, they sure do invite very little people to this event. I mean it was hosted in their living room for crying out loud. The main romance was ok, but the old person romance in this movie was unforgivable. I mean it was just so random and happened near the end. The aunt literally initiated the kiss by saying "You're fired." That is the least romantic thing you could say to someone when you go in to kiss them. I guess they're happy or whatever.
Score
I have to give this movie a 3 out of 10. There were a couple of things that were interesting, but the rest of the movie fell flat. The rival catering company was strange because it was a brother duo but you only ever saw the one. I think they should have shown both brothers for no reason other than to establish that they were actually brothers and there were actually two of them. The main guy was so cheesy though and I mean that's not saying much but still.
