A Merry Christmas Wish

Why?

It's late June so that means Christmas in July is just around the corner. As a preemptive watch, we found this movie and decided to watch it. We didn't realize that the main guy was a character that we'd all seen before and disliked.

What in the world?

A marketing executive inherits her great uncle's farm and ends up helping with a community festival. She also ends up falling in love with her best friend's older brother and the farmhand on the farm. He does both of those jobs by the way.

Personal thoughts

This movie was only painful to sit through because of the main guy. He looks like a cheeseball and acts like one too. That's not very fun to watch when you've seen it a thousand times before. You might be thinking that all romantic movies in this style are the same, but you would be wrong. A seasoned expert would tell you that this cheeseball is definitely different than the other cheeseballs. Anyway, the ex-boyfriend of the main girl wasn't even that bad. He was just trying to help when he could. He even came back early from their planned vacation to surprise her. I mean he went on it without her but still. Also, they had camels at a petting zoo. That was pretty cool so that's a positive.

Score

I have to give this movie a 3 out of 10. The plot was ok. I feel that they should have showed more of the hyped up festival because it was barely in the movie. I think it was 10 minutes out of the whole thing. Very frustrating. The main lady was ok. She didn't really do much and she also thought that cleaning out a farmhouse would take 3 days to clean out. That was probably the craziest part of this movie. It was very funny.
