Why?
Judging by the title, you can tell why I would try to avoid this movie. My family was not keen on watching it so I just kind of put it on for background noise until I accidentally got invested.
What in the world?
A big city architecture lady goes back to her small hometown to attend the Big Catch festival and the Chowder Showdown. She meets a guy and she wants him to buy her dad's boat. Love may or may not merge from their dealings.
Personal thoughts
This movie was pretty boring. The characters had no personality well not true they had personality it just wasn't that interesting. The girl instantly had a plan for everything which is pretty freaky and maybe she's a robot. The guy just did not want to get to know the locals and all he cared about were his daughter and his business. The brother was my favorite part only because he seemed to be the only realistic character.
Score
I have to give this movie a 3 out of 10. It was not that interesting and they had a constant symbol of an anchor throughout the movie. I don't care enough to go in depth but he did propose with a ring that was originally on an anchor. Surprise she said yes. I don't know how long they knew each other but it definitely was not that long. I literally watched this alone and I screamed when he did that. That was weird and could have been left out of the movie completely.
Robot lady?
I strongly believe that this lady is a robot. I mentioned it a bit ago and then my mind started thinking. She instantly has a plan for any situation. Design not good enough? Oh, that's ok because I automatically thought of a different one. She also instantly has ideas on how to talk to people and interact with them. She sees the guy and she immediately walks up to him and talks to him like he is a normal person that has been involved in her life forever. She also does not like water. That's a bit weird I know but her phone drops barely in the water and she doesn't even try to get it out. She says she can just get another one sent to her. That's not real. I know I would reach for my phone if it's near the shore and it got in the water. Why leave it? BECAUSE YOUR CIRCUITRY CAN'T HANDLE WATER! It's just facts. The anchor is probably important to her because she was made from an anchor and it is her whole life. That might be weird I know but I can speculate these things if I gosh darn want to.
