Farm to Fork to Love

Why?

I needed some background noise so I decided to put this on.

What in the world?

A chef goes to judge a hotel competition and reunites with her ex from Sweden or somewhere in Europe. I honestly forgot.

Personal thoughts

This movie was pretty ok. I mean the characters were all pretty decent and none of them really stood out. I mean all the chefs competing in the competition seemed pretty cool so there's that. The main characters were pretty basic. They both wanted to have a successful business or career I guess. SPOILER. They end up working together. What a shock.

Score

This movie was nothing special. I have to give it a 3 out of 10. It was decent but I don't understand the romance between the French chef and the main dude's aunt. I mean there was no chemistry and it kind of just gets thrown in there as an afterthought. I mean why. Just. Why.

Love, Bubbles, and Crystal Cove

Why?

I had some free time so I decided to watch a movie and this happened to be my pick.

What in the world?

A businessman travels back to his hometown to help his ex-girlfriend keep her beauty store.

Personal thoughts

This movie was so boring. I wanted it to end halfway through because they weren't doing anything. I mean they didn't really have many ideas to save her business but they sure did have a lot of fun with some bath bombs. I mean making bath bombs can't be that fun...right? Like that's all they did the whole movie yet they reconciled their love. I guess that's a spoiler but no one should be surprised by that revelation.

Score

I have to give this movie a 1.4 out of 10. I understand that this is a weird score but hear me out. The mom was really bad at acting. At least that's what it seemed like. Her lines were delivered with a monotone and I thought it was beautiful. She was the only one that talked like that. I don't want to say it was a personal choice but maybe it was. Other than that though, this movie was really boring. I know I keep saying that but it was. Take my word for it.

The Dog Lover's Guide to Dating

Why?

My sister absolutely loves dogs. That's the entire reason why we watched this movie.

What in the world?

A man is desperate to prove his worth to a woman but to do that he needs to get through to her dog. He hires a dog trainer to train him with dogs and then love happens. *shock*

Personal thoughts

This movie was really bad. I mean the main guy and the dog were both named Simon. That's not okay. First of all, that made it really hard to follow what was happening. Second of all, it led to some really horrendous dialogue from the main lady. Most of the characters in this movie were just really weird except for Jacob and Diego. Diego disappeared near the beginning of the movie though which was really sad. Jacob got shafted and lead on though which was even more sad. Justice for Jacob though because he wasn't even that bad of a person.

Score

I have to give this movie a 2 out of 10. I would have given it a 1 but the dogs really made it stand out. I mean they're really cute. I didn't like the last line of the movie though. A sequel line would have been better than what was actually said. SPOILER. The last line of the movie was "Good boy, Simon." EW. That is so not ok he's a human. AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

A Winter Wedding

Why?

I thought I had seen the actors before so I just put it on. I did not really care that much and apparently I was stuck in the wedding category.

What in the world?

I think this might have been a sequel or something because it started off with an engagement and ended up with a casual winter wedding. I felt like I was missing context but I might not have been which is scary.

Personal thoughts

This movie was kind of boring and only started to pick up the pace near the end. Their search for a wedding venue was very boring and the conflict happened at the best time. Minutes before their wedding. I mean they still got married but it was nice to see people yelling at each other before deciding to cancel it. Her friend was weird though. I mean I feel like she pulled some strings to get a dress but that's all she was there for. Oh and makeup. She did makeup.

Score

I have to give this movie a 5 out of 10. It had all the classic sequel romance that you could expect. I mean the movie would have been a 4 out of 10 if it hadn't been for the mesmerizing barn dance sequence. For some reason when that came on I couldn't help but watch it. The brother and the friend romance was dumb by the way. It was pointless and made almost no sense and it just shouldn't have happened. Shame on you script writers. Shame.

A Romance Wedding

Why?

I was searching for something to watch and I saw the title and thought it was the dumbest thing. The only reason I watched it if I am being honest.

What in the world?

A wedding planner travels back to her hometown and ends up trying to buy a piece of farmland so that she can use it as a wedding venue. Oh don't forget that her ex boyfriend is back in town so that's kind of important.

Personal thoughts

This movie was interesting. I mean the town was very steadfast in its beliefs that a farm is for farming. Almost everyone they talked to about the wedding venue idea told them the same thing. "Farms are meant for farming. Your idea sucks." They didn't say the last part but I can imagine that they did. The couple in this movie seemed to have a little bit of chemistry, but I was more interested in the side romance that was happening with her business partner and the bakery owner.

Score

I have to give this movie a 5 out of 10. It was a good time killer and I found myself enjoying it most of the time. I just liked how she lived there and most of the people just considered her an outsider for no reason. I didn't like the ending though. I did like the part where they were just using local businesses as some realization that people can help them get their venue space. Overall just a pretty run of the mill standard romance movie.

Jolly Good Christmas

Why?

It's just one of the few Hallmark movies that I watched during this Christmas season. It was recorded which meant that my family had to watch it.

What in the world?

A very "busy" architect hires a personal shopper to buy a gift for his girlfriend even though they had decided not to make a big deal out of Christmas.

Personal thoughts

This movie was pretty bad. I mean the whole thing about him being busy was really just talked about and never shown. The only time that he needs to be busy is when he falls in a lake and doesn't make it to his meeting that is super important. SPOILER! He didn't even end up getting his girlfriend a better gift. He just kind of didn't give her gift and they called that that. The whole movie was a mess and the lady was supposed to be British but she sounded American and the guy was supposed to be American but sounded British. I think casting could have done a better job in that department.

Score

I have to give this movie a 3 out of 10. I didn't really like any of the characters in the movie but it had its moments. He did give a gift card to orphans (maybe) so that's pretty cool. I think all the moments that led up to them getting together were really dumb and they should have done a better job telling us how their romance progressed because it moved really quick and it was very confusing.

Amazon Jack

Why?

Sometimes you're in the mood for a movie. I just wanted to watch a movie and I kept seeing this in my recommended from Amazon so I thought I would go ahead and watch it.

What in the world?

A rare species of animal (never specified) is being tracked around the world (aka two places) so that people can use them for their own gain.

Personal thoughts

This movie was wild. I mean the rare species is kind of ugly and the way that it talked was just down right atrocious. It was so annoying that I wanted to kind of let it get captured in the movie. Oh, this movie has songs and they are just so bad. The second to last song in the movie made me laugh really hard though so I guess that's a win for them. Also, the panther in this movie is a very confusing character with zero development which is kind of fun.

Score

I have to give this movie a 4 out of 10. I kept getting distracted during this movie because it would just stall. I mean there is no reason to spend so much time in a cage with a high mosquito when it adds next to nothing to the plot. I mean it's cool that there's a high mosquito but you don't need to use him to further the plot in the slowest way possible.
