Easter Under Wraps

Why?

We were going to search to watch a movie but then this movie fell into our laps. Easter was the next day so it was also thematic as well.

What in the world?

A chocolate company salesperson is going undercover in the chocolate factory to see what's happening with the new machines they are putting in. There is love in this movie too because it's a Hallmark movie.

Personal thoughts

This movie was very odd. It was following the tropes of a Christmas movie but it was with the holiday, Easter. That made the movie even worse because it was weird watching Easter festivals when I've never even heard of one. The main character was doing an undercover boss thing but she was doing a horrible job of it. I feel like before they made their chocolate presentation she should have come clean as being his upper in the company. That was just a personal preference kind of thing. The competing chocolate company was really strange. They would finish each other's thoughts without even thinking about it. That was probably the best dialogue in the whole movie.

Score

I have to give this movie a 3 out of 10. The little kid was very annoying and was really dumbed down. I mean she would like make these weird faces and her dialogue was just unrealistic. The only realistic thing she said was "Hippity-hoppity juice". Speaking of that, that juice was insane. The list of ingredients almost sounded like every fruit under the sun. It was wild. I want to talk about the best subplot in this movie. The manager of the factory was complaining about her chair at the beginning of the movie. The undercover boss gets her a new chair and both of the main characters have a line of dialogue for the new chair and it's amazing.

Farmer Seeking Love

Why?

This movie came up in my search when I was trying to find the name of the new farmer dating show. I knew that I had to try and watch this movie.

What in the world?

A reality dating producer goes and tries to convince a farmer to be the suitor (aka like the bachelor) on the show. And then the unthinkable happens.

Personal thoughts

This movie had more interesting sub characters than main characters. I mean the producer's friends were cool and her boss was kind of awkward but in a cool way. The farmer's sister was pretty chill in her own right even though she signed her brother up for the dating show without his permission. I think in terms of the movie it wasn't that special. I mean the farmer's main line was just the word "ok." It was pretty much his go to phrase the entire movie. It was the last line too which was so funny.

Score

I have to give this movie a 4 out of 10 because it was just so boring. I mean all they really talked about was farming and writing basically. It got kind of boring after a while. Also, the farmer only really agreed to do the show because he wanted money. I mean I can't really blame him but it made his entire outlook more negative which made him even more boring somehow. Anyway, there's only one way to end this review. Ok.

Beauty and the Billionaire

Why?

I think what got me was the movie's title. I couldn't see a description but the title just looked really awful.

What in the world?

A girl has to travel to an island with her brother because he broke his leg in a scooter crashing into bike incident. She has to go around the island with his boss and surprise surprise they develop a connection.

Personal thoughts

This movie was decent. I mean there wasn't much to it. The shots of the plane were the absolute worst and best thing I've seen watching a movie lately. I mean the effort that went into it was great but the budget was clearly low. The dialogue felt really stale and that kind of ruined the movie for me. Also the ending really surprised me because I was not expecting it at all. SPOILER! He asks her brother how to make origami and he beats her to her apartment. She gets back from her flight and notices that her room is filled with regular flowers and then he's just standing there with an origami bouquet. That's nightmare fuel for me right there. Besides the headache think of all the care that those flowers need. The place was packed. I mean there wasn't a flower free space in there. I guess that's just one of the perks of dating a billionaire.

Score

I have to give this movie a 6 out of 10. I found myself kind of enjoying the  movie but the kid actor kind of got on my nerves. She would hear a conversation and then just ask a painful question that had been answered in teh conversation. There was no reason for that so I don't know why they did that. Oh and the brother had to listen to all of the relationship drama because it was his boss and sister. I can only imagine how awkward that would be but you could tell that he didn't really want to listen to it but he was there for both of them. Probably my favorite character honestly.

Love, Game, Match

Why?

I saw this movie on Tubi and I knew that I had to watch it. Apparently this movie is also called Putting Love to the Test.

What in the world?

Two teachers have to work together to put on a school carnival. They are also helping two students with a dating website that they created. The students made the website and they wanted the teachers on there to have a more wide range website.

Personal thoughts

This movie broke me. I wanted to just yell at the people in this movie and be like "Please just stop whatever you are doing. I can't take it anymore." They were very boring and the main guy made no sense. He overheard what her favorite donut was and then just took it. I don't even know why he did that it's never explained. He also thinks that whatever he does is perfection because he did it. I mean that's some pretty good confidence but still what the heck. Also he sucks with women. I'm going to be honest. He told someone he works with that he wants to keep business and personal separate but then just goes after someone he works with. That's not ok.

Score

I have to give this movie a 4 out of 10. It's nothing special but it wasn't the worst thing I've seen in a while. The movie showed the main character going on a couple of dates but they were weird. The one guy that wasn't that bad was really strange though. He only really wanted to go to movies and she acted like that was a normal thing. That guy's personality was entirely about just watching movies. He ended up with the previously mentioned girl so I mean that's fun. The main characters were boring and they deserved each other though,

The Nature of Romance

Why?

I was running out of things to do so I decided to watch this movie.

What in the world?

A travel blog writer goes glamping (glamorous camping) with her friend and then gets stranded. She then goes on to help and fall in love with a park ranger. Oh fun fact! This movie has two equally bad names. Parked for Love and The Nature of Romance. Honestly I prefer the latter.

Personal thoughts

I was enjoying the movie at first but then the end was just way too much. I mean the guy goes over to her house to win her back twice. Movie that's a bit excessive don't you think. The last time he had a dog so that's completely understandable. I just didn't find myself rooting for these people. So for this next part a little context. The writer wrote about a grant for the park and the guy didn't know she did that and that's where a misunderstanding spawns. He finds it and goes to her house to talk about it. They talk and he rips it up because that doesn't matter she does. She doesn't agree or something and he just hands her ripped up writing to her and says, "Can you take it? I don't want to litter." That is my favorite line from this movie.

Score

I have to give this movie a 3 out of 10. I didn't like any of the characters except for every other ranger at the park. That's only two people by the way. The two main characters were way too invested in themselves to even be enjoyable as their relationship supposedly "blossomed". Oh I almost forgot about the strangest character. His name is RV repair guy (I don't actually know his name). He shows up and instantly becomes the least likeable character for 5 minutes. I don't know why they wrote him like that but it was upsetting because he should have been a chill guy but instead he was just annoying and a plot device.

The True Story of Puss 'N Boots

Why?

I saw this movie while scrolling through Tubi and decided that it was a must watch.

What in the world?

Puss 'N Boots is helping his owner to woo a princess so that he can be with her forever because he loves to listen to her sing. That's about it really.

Personal thoughts

I thought the movie was really bad but I loved it. I mean it sucked and William Shatner's voice choice for Puss was very funny. Oh yeah William Shatner a very famous actor is in this movie. My favorite character, the ogre, did not get the justice that he deserved. All he wanted to do was be a swan and they denied him that one privilege. #JusticeforOgre. But the songs in this movie were very strange to say the least. I mean they were really bad. Puss singing was very bad and I hated it so much.  It was an abomination.

Score

I have to give this movie a 6 out of 10. I hated everything about Puss and the Chamberlain were my least favorite characters. Oh I forgot to mention that the king was asleep for the whole movie. If I recall correctly, the poor king had no speaking lines. Also the jester of the movie was really confusing and his motivations were very unknown and confusing. He helped the miller's son to win the favor of the princess even though he knew that he was lying. I don't know what his game was but everything worked out in the end anyway so I guess it doesn't matter.

Santa Jaws

Why?

I know it's February, but my friends and I finally found time to watch this masterpiece.

What in the world?

A boy draws his comic book shark and it goes around and terrorizes just the boy's family. Well except for elf guy I guess. I almost forgot about the elf guy.

Personal thoughts

This movie was really strange. I mean the main characters were messed up and you kind of just wanted them to die. It would have been funny if the main character had died but he didn't and just experienced a lot of trauma instead. I mean there were only a couple of redeemable characters like elf guy. Elf guy did nothing wrong and was just a sad casualty that should have never happened. Everyone else was an ok death.

Score

I have to give this movie a 5 out of 10. I mean the plot was okay and I would have ranked it higher but the ending of the movie was just really bad and stupid. If the movie would have SPOILER ended with Santa Jaws dying then that would have been fine. Shockingly, that's not where the movie ended which made it worse. Also justice for elf guy. He was the best character and actor I believe. He tried his hardest and was brought into the movie for absolutely no reason. He wasn't a main character and was just randomly there. Justice for elf guy.
